Safeguarding and Practice Development Officer

Job Description

 SAFEGUARDING AND PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – DAR ES SALAAM

You will have at least two years’s experience working in a similar role, prefarrably in development organization with proven track record in supporting vulnerable children, young people and families. You will also have demonstrated understanding of child protection and safeguarding processes, as well as application of health, safety and risk management procedures and handling sensitive and confidential issues with tactic diplomacy. Most importantly you will have the passion and drive to make a difference to the lives of children living and working on the streets.

Railway Children Africa (RCA) is an NGO registered in Tanzania, NO: 001563 with over ten years working in Africa as an affiliate of our parent organization Railway Children UK.

At Railway Children, we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of all those who come into contact with us in our work. We follow a range of procedures to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children and vulnerable people are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including criminal records check.
