About PlayMatters Project PlayMatters is a 5-year initiative fostering learning through play for refugee and host community children between 3-12+ in Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Learning through play helps refugee children to overcome trauma, learn and thrive. At the same time, it builds their social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative skills which contribute to their long-
term wellbeing.
