Position: Logistics Officer

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate transportation, delivery, and distribution of construction materials and equipment to project sites.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
Manage suppliers, transporters, and warehouse operations efficiently.
Track shipments and ensure materials arrive on schedule and in good condition.
Prepare logistics reports, delivery schedules, and inventory records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transport regulations.
Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to support smooth operations.
Optimize transportation routes and logistics costs.
Handle documentation related to deliveries, dispatch, and stock movements.
Monitor fuel usage, vehicle maintenance schedules, and fleet performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Transport Management, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain operations.
Experience in the construction industry is an added advantage.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software is an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Valid driving license is an added advantage.
